Compare 1587 edition: 1 Ferguſe hauing thus without occaſion of en|uie deuided his countrey amongſt his nobles and ſubiects,Statutes and lawes are made. ſtudied furthermore to deuiſe lawes for the mayntenaunce of commune quiet amongſt them. And therfore amongſt other ordinances he made ſtatutes againſt murder, roberies, burning of houſes, and ſpecially againſt thefte.

The rocke where he was thus caſt away, hath bene euer ſithence called Rocke Fer|guſe, after his name.
