Compare 1587 edition: 1 The kings re|gal ornaments taken.In this towne were founde all the regall or|naments: as the crowne, and ſwoorde, with o|ther iewels belonging to the kings of the Pictes. The ſwoorde hauing the haft of golde, and a purple ſcabbarde verie fynely wrought and trim|med, Veſpaſian vſed to weare in all the warres wherein he afterwardes chaunced to bee, in hope (I cannot tell) of what good ſucceſſe and lucke to follow thereof.
