Compare 1587 edition: 1 Pardons gran|ted by the go|uernour are [...]yde.He allowed no pardon graunted afore by the gouernour, alledging the ſame to be expyred by his death. For he thought indeede it ſtoode ney|ther with the pleaſure of God, nor wealth of the Realme, that ſo many ſlaughters, reiffes, and oppreſſions, as had beene done afore in the coun|trey, ſhoulde remayne vnpuniſhed through fault of iuſtice.
