Compare 1587 edition: 1 Danes ſlaine at Adirlemnon.An other companie of the Danes fleing from this ouerthrow were ſlayne at Adirlemnon, not paſt .iiij. miles from Brechyn, where is ſet vp a great ſtone or Obeliſke, grauen with certayne characters or letters, to aduertiſe them that paſſe that wayes forth, of this ſlaughter of Danes there made by our worthy elders. The reſidue of the Danes that eſcaped with life from the fielde, hauing certaine Scottiſhmen to theyr guydes corrupted wt monie fled to theyr ſhips, declaring to their fellowes what miſhap had for [...]med.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 King Malcolme after he had obtayned this famous victorie (as before is ſayde) at Barre;The deuiding of the ſpoyle. he cauſed the ſpoile of the field to be deuided amõgſt his ſouldiers according to the lawes of armes, and then cauſed the dead bodies of the Danes to be buried in the place where the fielde had bene fought, and the bodies of the Scottiſhmẽ which were found dead, were conueyed vnto places of Chriſtian buriall, and there buried with funerall obſequies in ſundry churches & churchyardes.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 Bones of Danes.There are ſeene many bones of the Danes in thoſe places, where they were buried, there lying bare aboue groũd euen vnto this day, the ſandes as if often chaunceth, being blowen from them.
