Andrew. he tolde him that there ſhoulde appeare ouer the Pictiſhe hoſte in the ele|ment ſuch a faſhioned Croſſe, as hee ſometyme [figure appears here on page 166] ſuffered vppon. Hungus awakened, and behol|ding the Skie, ſawe the Croſſe as the Apoſtle had tolde him: Wherevpon calling his people togyther, hee not onely ſhewed them the ſame ſight, but alſo declared vnto them what viſion had appeared vnto him in hys ſleepe, wyl|ling them therefore to bee of good comfort, ſithe there was cauſe of ſuch aſſured hope to haue aſſyſtaunce from aboue agaynſte theyr cruell enimies.

For it did put ſuche a feare into theyr heartes, that when they came to the poynte of ioyning, theyr ſtomackes ſo ſay|led them, that wyth ſmall reſyſtaunce they were eaſily vanquiſhed (as is ſayde) and put to flyght.
