Compare 1587 edition: 1 [figure appears here on page 25] This Ewin beeing the seconde of that name, Ewin. made great prouision in the beginning of his raigne to resist the sayde Gillus his enimie. And hearing that he had bene in the Isle of Ila, and put the same to fire and sworde, he prepared an army and ships also, to transport therewith ouer into Irelande, there to reuenge that iniurie vpon suche as had ayded Gillus therein, to the hinderance of his countrey.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 The forenamed CadallCadal with an armie is ſent into Irelande gouernour of Gal|loway, was appoynted alſo to haue the [...]ing of this armie: who taking the ſea at Du [...]ta|fage, directed his courſe ſtreyght ouer [...] the coaſtes of Irelande, where taking lande and en|countring with his enimies, he put them to the worſe, inſomuch that Gillus fearing to fal [...] into his aduerſaryes handes, fled out of the field [...] into the next wood, where hee thought to haue ſaued himſelfe. His ſouldiours alſo perceyuing him to bee fled, gaue ouer the fielde, and yeelded them|ſelues vnto Cadal, who tooke them to grace, and forthwith ſent out certaine companies to ſeeke Gillus,Gillus is takẽ. who foũd him in a den cloſed about with thicke wooddes and buſhes, where he had li [...]n hid certain dayes & was almoſt ſteriled for hunger.
