Compare 1587 edition: 1 Roberte Bruce hereby perceyuing the ſuttle meaning of king Edwarde, returned righte ſo|rowfull vnto his landes in Englande, hauyng great indignation in his mynde, that he had o|beyde king Edwards requeſts: but yet conſide|red with himſelf that he muſt ſuffer for the time, tyll occaſion ſerued to reuenge the iniuries recei|ued whiche he mynded to doe,The caſtels of Edenburgh & Striueling wonne. and that in moſte cruell maner, as afterwardes it will appeare.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 King Edwarde after he had thus wonne the caſtell of Dunbar, got lykewiſe both the caſtels of Edenburgh and Striueling,King Iohn driuen into the caſtell of Forfaire. & purſued king Iohn till he had conſtrayned him to take for his refuge the caſtell of Forfair.
