Compare 1587 edition: 1 Wherevpon an army was leuied,An army ray|ſed to inuade Englande. and ſolemne proclamation made that al ſuch as were able and meete to beare armour, ſhould meete the king at a certaine day and place which was to them in the ſame proclamation aſſigned. The Earle of Ros therefore came with his people vnto Perth, and there made his mullers before the king,The Lorde of the Iles ſlaine by the Earle of Ros. but in the night following he ſlue the Lord of the Iles with ſeuen of his kinneſmen as they were in their beds, EEBO page image 350 and therevpon fledde and got him with all ſpeede againe into Ros.
