Compare 1587 edition: 1 At length when the warres were agayne re|nued betwixt Vter and Occa the Saxon king, Loth in reuenge of the iniurie done to him and his children, ioyned himſelf with the Saxons, and was with them at the battaile, in which the Brytaynes got the victorie by the preſence of Saint Germaine that holy Biſhop of Auxer as the Scottiſh writers make mention. Whiche battail as the ſame is ſet foorth by Hector Boe|tius, bycauſe it toucheth the ſtate of the Pictes, we haue thought good here to expreſſe.
