Compare 1587 edition: 1 Thoſe pryſoners al|ſo whiche he had taken in the battell, he kept in perpetuall captiuitie, menacing them preſent death if any of their friendes and alies attempted any ſturre againſt him.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 Moreouer hee nouriſhed priuie factions a|mongſt the nobilitie, ſuppoſing therby that their powers would be the more feeble in any publike exployte that was to be moued againſt him: fi|nally if any miſchiefe happened among them, he cauſed the matter throughly to be looked vpon, but with ſuch regarde that he alwayes enriched his owne cofers with the forfaytures and penal|ties which he tooke vp amongſt them.
