[1] In the meane time, the Earle of Murrey perſwaded the Duke of Chatelleraulte,Conſultation to ſtoppe the marriage. the Earle of Argile, and ſundrye other, to meete at Striueling, where they made a bande to ſtoppe the marriage, alledging the ſame to bee made for mayntenance of the Religion.
