[1] A great dearth and alſo a death in Scot|lande.In the yeare next after this ſiege, there was ſuch a dearth through all the boundes of Scot|land, which ſuch mortalitie of people, as a grea|ter had not lightly beene ſeene nor heard of. The cauſe of whiche mortalitie proceeded (as was thought for that the ground lay vntilled and not occupied, by reaſon of the continuall warres be|fore paſſed.
