[1] Iohn Cumyn (after that hee and Bruce were thus agreed vppon Articles,Iohn Cumyn doth doubt. and departed the one from the other) beganne to doubt, leaſt this conſpiracie deuiſed betwixte them, woulde not ſorte to anye luckye concluſion for his pur|poſe, eyther for that hee feared the greate puiſ|ſaunce of kyng Edwarde, eyther elſe for that his aucthoritie and power (as hee myſtruſted) woulde not bee greate, if the Bruce once at|tayned the Crowne: And herevppon hee ſente one of his ſeruauntes vnto kyng Edwarde,Cumyn diſ|cloſeth the conſpiracie. with his counterpane of the Indenture contey|nyng the couenauntes of the conſpiracie, ſigned and ſealed wyth Bruces owne hande and ſeale.
