Line 87a

'eald enta geweorc' - eald enta geweorc appear in The Ruin (2) and elsewhere in Old English poetry. M-R suggest 'the Anglo-Saxons used this expression to refer to the impressive stone buildings left by the Romans'. It would be better to say that it refers to any object (particularly a building) belonging to a previous civilisation.
What is unusual about the lack of inflection on eald?
