Line 135

wuniaþ on wuldre - this collocation is repeated in 143a "wunian on wuldre" and 155a "wunedon on wuldre" and "wuldre" has been used in 133b "wuldres cyning". "blis(se)" similarly occurs in 139b, 141b, 149a, 153b (and nowhere else in the poem); "dream" in 133a, 140a, 144a (and nowhere else in the poem). There has been structural and thematic repetition of diction and image throughout this poem but although it could be argued that "wuldor", "blis" and "dream" are key words in the characterisation of heaven in this final section, the repetition seems excessive and an instance of inferior poetic technique. The semi-repetition of 137 in 145 also lacks clear function and cf. 141a "geseted" and 142a "asette"
