Runes (Phonetic)

The table presents a series of runic alaphabets or futhorcs used by the Anglo-Saxons. The first column shows the standard 24-character Common Germanic runes, and the other three columns show examples of three variant alphabets used later. The important column is the to the extreme right which shows the runes used on the Ruthwell Cross allowing comparison with other futhorcs.
