'Cuþberht se eadiga' - Cuthbert was an important Northumbrian churchman during the seventh century, becoming bishop of Lindisfarne before retiring to the ascetic life. His sanctity became apparent when the bretheren exhumed his body eleven years after his death and found it incorrupt.
