Line 9

'to geþeodnisse þæs heofonlican life' - Geþeodnisse, 'joining', 'association', may derive from confusion in the translator's exemplar between Bede's appetitum, 'longing' and appictum, past participle of appingo, 'join'. Bede's point is that Cædmon's poetry inspired those who encountered it to despise the transitory world and anticipate the heavenly life.
