'welhwylc gecwæð ... nydgesteallan' - described by ASPR as 'an impossibly long and complicated sentence'. Wrenn translates 'he spoke of almost everything that he had heard tell of Sigemund and his deeds of valour, many a strange matter, the fighting of the son of Wæls [Sigemund] and his far journeyings - about things of which the children of men did not have clear knowledge - feuds and deeds of violence; only Fitela knew of them since he had been with him when his uncle [Sigemund] was wont to relate some such matter to his nephew, since they had always been in every conflict comrades in difficulty'.
