Compare 1587 edition: 1 Certayne Townes are puniſhed.In the meane tyme, ſhee hearing that the Townes of Sainte Andrewes, Dundee, and Sainte Iohns Towne, had helped the Lordes to reiſe men of Warre for their ſupporte, paſſed thither hirſelfe, and tooke inquiſition thereof, gy|uing order in thoſe Townes, that no ſuch thing ſhoulde afterwardes be put in practiſe: but there were none that ſuffered deathe for that matter, but diuers were committed to priſon in the North partes of the Realme, as the Prouoſt and Bailȝeeis of Sainte Andrewes, alſo cer|taine of the Towne of Dundee, and Sainte Iohns Towne, and other were baniſhed, and diuers Barons, as Lundy, Lango, and Bal|ward, were ſent to Aberden, and to other partes, where they remayned the winter following.
