Compare 1587 edition: 1 Maiſter Henrye Wharton and thoſe ſixe ſcore Horſemen, retiring beyonde the water of Nith, and perceyuing that Drumlanrig and his mẽ entred the water raſhly to purſue them, returned, and gaue ſuch a deſperate charge vpon them,He is put to flight. that Drumlanrig and his company were ſcattered and putte to flighte, yet Drumlanrig himſelfe, although there were ſome ſpeares bro|ken vppon hym, through the goodneſſe of hys Horſe eſcaped.
