Compare 1587 edition: 1 Herevpon there came Ambaſſadours foorthe of England,Engliſh am|baſſadors ſent into Scotland. The King of Scottes agreth to the truce. to vnderſtãd what the King of Scots would determine in that behalfe. By whome it was aunſwered, that he woulde with good will ſtand to the ſame truce according as it was con|cluded.

Whereat his father the Kyng tooke ſuche indignation, that when his ſonne the ſaid Alexander was broughte to his preſence,The Earle of Buchquhane empriſoned. hee commanded him to be committed vnto ſtraight priſon, wherein he remayned till after hys fathers deceaſe.
