Compare 1587 edition: 1 Tenne thou|ſand of the choyſeſt men with the Earle of Dowglas.Heere the Earle of Dowglas choſe foorth ten thouſande of the moſt able men that coulde bee found amongſt all the numbers, with the whiche he went to Newcaſtle, to trie if by any meanes he might take the towne.
