Compare 1587 edition: 1 After they were gotten a Shippe boorde to re|turne homewardes, the Scottes againe enter in|to Englande with an armie, remayning there for the ſpace of two monethes, (as the Scottiſh wri|ters ſay.King Richard inuadeth Scot|lande.) And in the meane time king Richarde aſſembled a mightie power, and inuading Scot|land, paſſed through the Mers, and Louthian, putting all the townes, countrys and houſes vn|to vtter ruine, as in the Engliſhe Hiſtorie more plainly it may appeare.
