The truce vio|lated.In the yeare following agaynſte
the nexte Fayre to be holden at Roxbourgh aforeſayde, the ſayd Erle of March,
with his brother the Erle of Murrey gathered a power of men ſecretely
togi|ther,Roxbourgh ſurpriſed by the Earle of
March. and cõming to the ſayd towne tooke it, ſlue all the Engliſh men founde within it, put theyr goodes to
the ſack, and after ſet the towne on fire, and ſo departed.
