Compare 1587 edition: 1 Theſe offers beeing propo [...]ed in counſaile, though ſome of the wiſer ſort gaue aduice that in no cõdition they ought to be refuſed,The Scots rea|die to help the French, and hinder their neighbours the Engliſh. yet the king himſelfe (for loue that he had to the French king with whom he had bene brought vp) and other of the Nobles hauing yong heades, vppon deſire to be reuenged on the Engliſhe men by practiſe of warres (wherevnto they were enclined) woulde needes condiſcende to the French kings charge|able requeſt, and refuſe the king of Englands be|neficiall offers.
