Compare 1587 edition: 1 Towers hyring a Cart ouer night, came with the punchlons vp to the Caſtell gate earely vpon the break of the day in the next morning, and ha|uing the gates opened, entred with his Cart, and being come within the gates with it, hee plucked forth a wedge or pynne deuiſed of purpoſe, and immediately therewith the Cart with the hun|chious fell downe, ſtopping ſo the entrie of the gates that in no wiſe they might bee ſhut or clo|ſed againe.
