Compare 1587 edition: 1 Herevpon, whẽ he had refreſhed the hold with newe men, munition, and victuals, he toke the counteſſe foorth with him,The towne of Abyrden brẽt by the Engliſh men. and paſſed with blou|dye ſwoorde thorough Murray, euen vnto El|ghyne, and returnyng by Mar, brente the town of Abyrdene.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 His nauie being on the ſea, the ſame time, en|tred [figure appears here on page 343] into the Forth, and ſpoyling (as other had done afore tyme) the church of ſaynt Colme, felt reuenge thereof ſhortly after: for that ſhippe (as they tell the tale) wherin Saint Colmes goodes (for ſo they call them) were laden, ſoonke to the bottome of the ſea, without force of tempeſt, or other apparant occaſſion.
