Compare 1587 edition: 1 In the meane tyme the king of England be|ſiegeth Barwike both by ſea and land,Barwike is be|ſieged. notwith|ſtandyng ſuche as were within it, defended the towne ſo manfully that he got but ſmall gaynes [figure appears here on page 336] by aſſaultes, by reaſon whereof, the ſiege conty|nued for the ſpace of four months: during which tyme many iſſues and ſkirmiſhes were made be|twixt the Scots and Engliſhmen, whereat ma|nye propre feates of armes were atchieued with varyable fortune.
