Compare 1587 edition: 1 King Edwarde therefore, was councelled to draw towardes Scotlande, that lying betwixt them and home, he might haue them at ſome ad|uauntage as they ſhoulde returne, whiche was thought woulde bee ſhortly, as well for lacke of vitayles, as alſo to defende theyr owne borders, when they hearde once that the Engliſhe armye drew that wayes forth.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 But comming to the riuer of Tine, through abundance of rain lately fallen) the ſtreame was ſo ryſen, that neither horſe nor man might paſſe, ſo that the armie was conſtrayned to encampe there for the ſpace of three dayes, in great ſcarcity of vitails, till they were faine to ſend vnto New|caſtell, (whiche was diſtant from thence .xxvj. myles,) and to Carleil, whiche was aboute xxij. myles thence,) for prouiſion, which was ſent them from thoſe places in great plentie.
