Compare 1587 edition: 1 It is reported by writers, that two knights of Brabant that ſerued amongſt the Engliſh men, chaunced to heare many reprochfull wordes ſpo|ken in the Engliſhe campe againſt king Robert, who being ſomewhat moued therewith, & miſly|king ſuch diſmeaſured talke, wiſhed in wordes that the victorie might chaunce vnto him.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 For the which wiſh king Edwarde informed thereof, cauſed them by a trumpet to be conueyed vnto the Scottiſh campe, with commaundement to ayde King Robert to the vttermoſte of theyr powers, purpoſing to puniſh them according to his minde, if he atteyned the victorie, as hee put no doubt, but he ſhoulde.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 And herevpon, before the ioyning of the bat|tayles, he cauſed proclamation to be made,A proclama|tion. that whoſoeuer brought their heades vnto him, ſhould haue an hundred Markes in rewarde.
