Compare 1587 edition: 1 Iames Dow|glas goeth to king Robert.Amongeſt other, Iames Douglas a man of great courage and ſingular valiancie, couſin to William Lamberton Biſhop of S. Androwes, and remayning with the ſayde Biſhop in houſe|holde, tooke all the Biſhops golde, and certaine of his beſt horſes, with the which hauing in his cõ|panie diuers other hardie yong gentlemen priuie to his doings, he fledde with all ſpeed vnto King Robert, offring him his ſeruice, and to ſpende his life in his quarell and defence.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 A craftie diſ|ſembling Prelate.The Biſhop was priuie to his couſins go|ing away, yea and counſelled him therto, though he would by no meanes it ſhoulde outwardly ſo appeare, for doubt leaſt if things had not come to paſſe as he wiſhed, he might haue run in daun|ger for his cloked diſſimulation.
