By reaſon whereof, King Alexander being care|full for his ſucceſſion, procured a maryage for his elder ſonne Prince Alexander,The mariage of Alexander prince of Scot|lande. wyth the Earle of Flaunders his daughter, the whiche beeing brought into Scotlande, was maryed vnto the ſayd Prince at Iedworth, on the Sun|day after the feaſt of Saint Martyn in Winter, in the yeare 1279.1279.
