Compare 1587 edition: 1 In the ſecond yeare of his raigne, King A|lexander, (or rather ſuch as had the gouernment of the Realme vnder him) aſſembled togither all the Prelates and Barons of the realme at Dun|fermeling, and there ordeyned to take vp the bones of his Grandmother Queene Margaret,The tranſlati|on of Queene Margarets [...] bones. which being done, he cauſed them to be put into a Shrine o [...] ſla [...], the .xxj. day of Iuly, and min|ding to place the ſame where it reſteth at thys preſent, as it was borne forth towarde that place, when the bearers came aneynst the Sepulcre of hir husbande King Malcolme, they were not able to remoue the Relykes any further, till by the counsell (as is sayde) of an aged man that was there present, they tooke vp the bones of the same Malcolme also, and bare them forth with hirs to the place aforesaid, where they after rested in great veneration of the people.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 Such as were appoynted gouernours (during the minoritie of king Alexander) doubting least the tender yeares of their soueraigne might enbolden the enimies of the Realme to attempt some inuasion, sent Ambassadors vnto Henrie king of England, requiring that the peace might be ratified of new with him and his people, They were fi|anced in the [...] dayes of king Alexander the fayre as in the Engliſh chro|nicle it may appeare. and further to make a motion of mariage to bee had betwixt king Alexander and a daughter of king Henries.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 Shortly [...], vpon this motion, both the kings moſte at Yorks with a greate number of Lordes,An enteruiew of the kings of Englande and Scotlande. aſwell ſpirituall as temporall of both the Realmes, where king Alexander according to the promiſe before that tyme made, maryed the Lady Margaret daughter to the forenamed king Henry, on Saint Stephens day in Chriſtmaſſe, with al ſolemnitie and ioyfull myrth that might be deuiſed.1250.
