Compare 1587 edition: 1 Here was heard ſuch clamour, noyſe and la|mentable cryes, as is vſed in tyme when anye towne is ſodenly taken and ſurpriſed by the eni|mies: for as the common Prouerbe witneſſeth, fyre and water haue no mercie: and yet of theſe two, water is more terrible and daungerous: for there is no force or witte of man able to reſiſte the violence of inundations, wher they ſodeynly breake in.

Compare 1587 edition: 1 King William after that the towne of Ber|tha was thus deſtroyed and ouerflowed wyth water,The towne of Perth buylded began the foundation of an other towne, which was after called Perth, by a man of that name that oughte the grounde where the ſame towne was buylded.
