Compare 1587 edition: 1 When he hadde once clenſed the Realme of thoſe miſgouerned perſons,Ambaſſadours ſente to king Henry. he ſent eftſoones hys Ambaſſadours to King Henry, requiring as be|fore, to haue Northumberlãd reſtored vnto him, with notice giuen, that if he mighte not haue it with fauour, hee woulde aſſay to recouer it by force.

King Henrye repẽting him ſelfe of that whiche he had deliuered to the Scots, ſee|kes new occa|ſions of ware.

but ſo as he proteſted that he receyued not that part in ful re|compence of the whole whiche was due vnto him (ſo ſaye the Scottiſhe writers) but ſo as his entier right might always be ſaued as wel to the reſidue as to that which was then reſtored.
