The dreadful story of the deaths by burning in July 1556 of Perrotine Massey and her new-born child is told by John Foxe, with much corroborative detail, in the last three editions of the Acts and Monuments, 1563, 2127-34; 1570, 1837-43; 1583,1943-9. Harrison may have used the last of these, since this passage is new to the 1587 edition.
